with Corfiot Ginger Ale

Margarita cocktail, Water melon, Ginger Ale, tsitsimpyra, tsitsibira

The Odd Fork loves to pinch frozen cocktails, especially during summer. Making cocktails is like making a food recipe. Mixing fruit juices with spirits, syrups, ice cream, herbs and spices is easy, is fun and creative at the same time!

When the Odd Fork visits its favorite Greek island, a.k.a. Corfu, it never misses the chance to drink the local Corfiot Ginger Ale, which is by far the best ginger ale it has ever tasted!
So, while eating water melon one evening, the Odd Fork thought why not make a frozen water melon margarita with a "touch" of Corfu?

It added in its blender a piece of water melon cut in small cubes, crushed ice, some tequila, some Corfiot kumquat liqueur and blended well. It poured in a glass and filled with the ginger ale.
The locals call this particular ginger ale "tsitsibira" and the Odd Fork loved the spicy character it gave to its summer frozen drink!
